Step 2: Vote By Mail

In New Jersey, any voter can now vote by Absentee Ballot for any election. You do not need a reason for an Absentee Ballot.

You can apply for an Absentee Ballot by completing an Absentee Ballot Application and mailing the application to your County Clerk up until 7 days prior to the election.

You can also apply in person to the County Clerk until 3pm the day prior to the election.

The County Clerk's office cannot accept faxed copies of an Absentee Ballot Application since an original signature is required.
